Festival 101- Category and Adjudication

• You will see in the program once you arrive there are multiple groups dancing in their category (aka their performance time grouping )

• Each group will perform once

• Reminder: festival timing is approximate and festivals can run up to 30 minutes ahead of schedule! Please be sure to let anyone know that is coming to watch

• While they are waiting for Adjudication they will remain backstage with the teachers

• After all groups have danced all the dancers will return to the stage for Adjudication and Awards

• The adjudicator will come up on stage and typically will share a few comments with the dancers. Then they will go through and announce their medal standings and any additional awards being presented in that category.

• After they get their medal and adjudication is complete they are done for that group.
